A very Merry Christmas to everyone! Posting an old picture because we're currently out of town, but we got one extra special Christmas present that should make our 2022 feed super exciting! Hope you're all having a wonderful time with loved ones and plenty of desserts! Stay safe and sparkly!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the looooooong disappearance - work, festival season and a month's stay at my Kolkata home meant that picture taking kind of fell off the wagon. 😅 We're back, though, and all set to share more bookish adventures! The weather here has taken a turn for the better after several rainy days, which we're super glad about as we were missing our daily walks. There's also a fab new bakery we discovered nearby that will, we suspect, make short work of our attempts to go off dessert. Oh well, one's gotta live. 😁

Perhaps my favourite brekkie treat - a bagel with cream cheese! It's so simple, and yet so deliciously warm and creamy and indulgent. Paired with coffee, it's the perfect accompaniment to a nice long reading or writing session.

Re-reads! What's your take on them? Up until a year or so ago I'd never imagine rereading anything - not with all the gazillion other books I'm left to discover! 😅 Since I started writing, though, I'm trying to go back and read some of my old favourites more carefully, to pick up structural clues and ideas about pacing and dialogue. Starting with these marvellous titles. Currently on A Confederacy of Dunces, a book that wows me on every page. Still can't believe John Kennedy Toole wrote this in his twenties - like wth, I barely knew how to boil pasta through most of my twenties. 😅 Eeyore is joining me on this journey, and he's very excited about it. Although that could just be the prospect of more muffins! 😁
